The Intersectionals a gross match-play tournament where clubs are organized into divisions and play play matches with the three other clubs in their division for points.

2018 Info

Players may compete on both the Men’s and the Senior Intersectionals. All players must have a grey ClubEG golf shirt and an active up-to-date Golf Canada Handicap account. If you don’t have either of these, that’s okay we can set them up for youfor a fee. There is also a nominal team fee which will be explained to those who are interested.

  • Men: July 8th (Division P at Vieux Moulins)
    10 players plus two alternates
  • Ladies: July 15th (Division K at Falcon Ridge)
    7 players plus one alternate
  • Senior (55+): Sept 4th (Division O at Gatineau)
    10 players plus two alternates (with some extra age stipulations)


  • team is made up of 8 golfers plus 2 alternates
  • alternates play but points do not count
  • 2 points for win, 1 for tie, 0 for loss
  • team with most points win and move up a division the following year
  • team with the least amount of points moves down a division the following year
  • team who places second becomes the host course for the following year (we would wave this)


  • previous year’s Club Champions and Slammer Tour Match-Play Champions in A, B and Senior divisions automatically have a spot reserved for them on the team for which they are eligible
  • you may try as often as you like at whatever Slammer event you like
  • you must have an official, up to date Golf Canada handicap factor
  • B-Class: handicap factor must be over 10.5
  • you may designate any Slammer round as a qualifier by putting "Intersectionals" in the comments field when registering
  • fee is $5 per attempt
  • stableford (1 point for a bogie, 2 for a par, 3 for bird, 4 for eagle)
  • top 2 qualifying rounds count
  • if you make the cut in the Sun Scramble you may use this as one of your qualifying rounds as a flat 30 points
  • top 6 in points (best 2 rounds) will automatically make the team (deadline TBD)
  • 2 Commish's picks
  • 2 alternates will be 7th and 8th in points (unless selected as a Commish's pick)
  • ClubEG members who are not Slammers will be invited to qualify as well


  • there is no qualifying for the ladies division (whoever is interested may simply put their name in the hat)
  • you must have an official, up-to-date Golf Canada handicap factor
